Fernando Miguel Gama de Sousa
Fernando Sousa is a writer and advocate currently fighting a wrongful conviction from within the Indonesian penal system. Born and raised in Portugal, he built a life as an international entrepreneur and traveler before his unlawful arrest in Asia. With no prior criminal record and a life previously dedicated to business and family, Fernando transformed his cell into a covert writer's room, utilizing his forced confinement to meticulously document the realities of foreign incarceration and judicial corruption. He is the founder of the global justice campaign, FreeNando, and Guilty Before Trial is his debut memoir written entirely behind bars as a testament to human
resilience and an urgent appeal for international human rights intervention.
